A serene escape
Spent 3 nights here and loved the laid-back vibe. The views from the beachfront rooms are gorgeous! The in-room breakfast was a nice touch, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. One hiccup was the murky water when the tide came in, not ideal for swimming. Still, a lovely spot to recharge.

Consider requesting larger dinner portions if you're a hearty eater, as the sizes may vary. The happy hour cocktails are fantastic, but be prepared for a wait.

What’s great and what’s not
The stunning sunsets and peaceful ambiance make it a nature lover's dream, while the warm and welcoming staff contribute significantly to the stay. Dining experiences like the 4-course menu are delightful.
The limited Wi-Fi access can be frustrating, especially for those needing connectivity. the cost of organized day tours was disappointingly high compared to the experience.

I absolutely loved the sunset views and the delightful dining experiences, though the breakfast could use a bit more variety. I'd definitely choose this spot to unwind again!

The luxurious bandas with ensuite bathrooms were perfect for families, offering stunning ocean views and private terraces to soak up the tropical vibes. We had a fantastic snorkelling trip arranged by the lodge, exploring the beautiful marine life right from our beach. We even brought our pet along!
My kids wished for larger dinner portions to satisfy their growing appetites.

I stayed in a Deluxe Double Room, and it was super comfy. The bed was huge, like seriously massive, and the bathroom had an outdoor shower that was awesome. The place was cleaned daily, which made it feel fresh. We had a great view through the trees, but at night it got a bit chilly with the wind blowing in from the open door. Maybe a curtain would help? Otherwise, it was a great spot to unwind and enjoy the tranquility.

Serene, Stunning, Serene

The beauty of the surroundings is unparalleled, with a stunning 800-year-old Baobab tree providing a unique focal point amidst lush gardens. The monkeys wandering through added a delightful touch to the experience, keeping the atmosphere lively. the bathroom facilities showed signs of age, needing a facelift, and the limited Wi-Fi might hinder those needing to stay connected. Despite a commendable menu, a greater variety of fresh fruits would enhance the dining experience further.

The ocean-facing cottages are beautifully decorated and nestled within a lush tropical forest, providing a unique experience where monkeys and local wildlife frequently visit. The beach, mere steps away from the cottages, offers a peaceful escape, perfect for unwinding with the sound of waves in the background.
Unfortunately, the rooms lack actual windows, making nighttime animal noises rather intrusive, disrupting sleep more than once. The set 3-course dinner menu left a lot to be desired compared to other options around Zanzibar, which could become a drag if you're looking to indulge. The lack of complimentary water and the occasional need for mosquito spray can be a hassle. if you're sensitive to chemicals or prefer tidiness, this might not sit well with you. the online wifi is limited to common areas and doesn't work reliably, which can be a pain if you need to stay connected.

Superb staff who were friendly and attentive! (Simba the dog was a charming companion during beach runs! ) The dining experience had a delightful local flavor, especially the live music nights.
Accommodation lacked actual windows, leading to loud animal noises at night.
